This 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SE 3.5 coupe is finished in Silver Grey Metallic over a black interior and features a floor-shifted, four-speed automatic gearbox. It was reportedly sold new in the US and later exported to Europe. The original owner optioned it with an electric sunroof, electric windows and color-matched wheel covers. Power is provided by the original M116 V8 engine. This W111 coupe shows 84000 miles is now being offered with the toolkit, all documents and Belgian Car Pass.

The 3.5-liter M116 was the first Mercedes-Benz V8 to feature Bosch Jetronic fuel injection and overhead camshafts. It was factory-rated at 200 horsepower. This power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission.

The interior is trimmed in code 241 black leather with matching door panels and black carpets. The dash, doors, and windshield frame feature burl wood accents. Additional equipment includes a floor shifter for the automatic transmission, power-operated front windows, an ivory-colored steering wheel and the original Becker Europa radio.

The W111 dash consists of VDO instrumentation which includes a 7000-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 84000 miles.

The steel wheels wear color-matched hubcaps and are wrapped in narrow white wall tires measuring 205/75 14. Power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes were standard equipment.
